Erasmus for All
Erasmus for All
At the end of 2013 some significant changes will take place to current European funding programmes, including Grundtvig. The current set of programmes under the Lifelong Learning Programme banner will come to a close, and will be replaced by the next generation of programmes.
The European Commission has published its proposals for the next generation of Lifelong Learning programmes entitled ‘Erasmus for All’. The new programme will have an integrated structure and focus on three key actions; Learning Mobility, Co-Operation and Policy Reform.
This streamlined approach is aimed at simplifying access routes to funding for organisations working across education, training, youth and sport.
This diagram shows the proposed new structure:
Erasmus for All is currently at the proposal stage – this means it has not been agreed by the Member States or the European Parliament. On 11 May 2012 the Council of the European Union agreed a revised version of the original Erasmus for All proposal to include a dedicated youth strand. The proposal may be altered or changed as a result of these negotiations and approval processes.
